Privacy notice
What ugcediting.com collects, why, who it reaches and what is public — accurate about the platform, and still awaiting counsel on statutory rights and retention.
It states how the platform actually behaves — how money is held, when it moves, what each side can see — so that a qualified lawyer can turn it into enforceable terms for the jurisdictions we operate in. It asserts no statutory rights, names no governing law and quotes no statute. Nothing in it should be relied on as a legal position until it has been reviewed and replaced.
Summary
This summary is not a substitute for the sections below.
Account details, the work you exchange, and the ledger that shows where each order's money is.
Briefs, cuts, notes and messages are visible to the parties and to support if a dispute is opened.
Funding goes through a payment processor. We keep a reference to the method, not the number.
What you type into it is sent to Anthropic, a third-party AI provider, so a model can answer it. Please do not type anything into it you would not want to leave the platform.
One cookie, for referral links. No Google Analytics, no tag manager, no advertising pixel, no session recording, no third-party tracker of any kind.

What we collect and why
The table lists each category of data the platform handles, why, and who can see it.
The legal basis for each purpose is [to be mapped by counsel for each jurisdiction].
Where it comes from
- From you, when you register, build a profile, post a brief, upload work or send a message.
- From other users, when a client attaches material to an order or a workspace owner invites you by email.
- From the platform, which computes performance figures from orders.
- From our payment processor, which confirms charges, refunds and payouts.
What is public
Two things you put on the platform are readable by anyone, with no account and no invitation:
- a published portfolio, which is served on its own subdomain at
<slug>.ugcediting.comand can be indexed by search engines. A portfolio you have not published is not public; - an editor directory profile — display name, photo, rates, packages, skills — and the performance figures the platform computes from your orders, so that clients can compare editors on the same basis.
You choose what goes on a portfolio. Nothing is copied onto it from your orders automatically, so anything on it is there because you put it there.
Files you upload
Uploads go to Firebase Storage, under a path belonging to your own account (ugcediting/users/<your account id>/…), and access is scoped to that owner. Uploads are resumable, so a large file survives a dropped connection.
A single file may be up to 500 MB, and only video, image, audio and PDF files are accepted — anything else is refused before it is uploaded.
A file attached to a brief or an order is visible to the other party to it, and to support if a dispute is opened. A file you put on a published portfolio is public.
Payment data
Card and bank details are entered with our payment processor. The platform stores the processor’s reference to the method, the last digits for display, and the ledger of charges, holds, releases, refunds and payouts for each order. The ledger is needed to show each side where its money is and to resolve disputes; see the trust page for how it works.
How long we keep it
We keep account data while the account is open. Order, payment and dispute records are kept after an account is closed for [retention period and basis — counsel to define], because the other party to each order relies on them. Reviews attached to completed orders [remain / are anonymised — counsel to decide] after closure.
An account with funds still held for an order cannot be closed until those orders are resolved.
Your choices and rights
From your settings you can edit your profile, change your notification preferences, remove payout methods and close your account. A workspace owner or admin can remove seats.
Further rights — such as access, correction, deletion, portability or objection — and how to exercise them depend on where you live: [rights and response times by jurisdiction — counsel to define]. Requests can be sent to muratorigabriele1@gmail.com.
Security
Access inside the platform is limited by role and by order: a seat sees its workspace, and a party sees its own orders. Payment details are handled by the payment processor. We do not claim any certification in this notice. [Breach-notification commitments — counsel to define].
International transfers
Marketplace records and uploaded files are stored in Google’s nam5 multi-region, which is in the United States. Our service providers are listed in the sharing section above.
Users are in many countries, so for most members using the platform means their data reaches the United States. [The transfer mechanisms relied on for that, per jurisdiction — counsel to define].
Children
The platform is not intended for anyone under 18, and an account may not be created by anyone younger. Eighteen is the floor because our payment processor requires it of anyone receiving a payout.
[Handling of footage that features minors — counsel to define].
